Chateau Recougne
Legend has it that Henry IV, during his stay at Château Recougne, marvelled at the quality of the wine produced.
He then declared the land of Château Recougne "Terra Recognita" or "recognized land".
Today, the wax seal, created at the time to identify Château Recougne, remains a sign of quality for the wines produced on our land.
Four generations of the Xavier Milhade family have followed one another since 1938 to cultivate the vine and make Château Recougne red, white and rosé wine..
